Our darkest roast style. Our dark roasted coffee beans are dark brown with a shiny surface. Their flavor – both taste and aroma tends to lean towards bittersweet and smoky. Acidity* is virtually gone and the natural flavor characteristics of the green beans are masked by the smoky flavor created by heavier roasting. Our Dark Roast is also known as a French, Espresso, Italian, and Turkish roast. According to coffeereview.com, it is considered the norm for most American-style espressos.
